Boston, MA November 19, 2009 -- CollegeWeekLive, the world’s largest college fair, successfully wrapped-up its expanded Fall schedule of online virtual admissions events. The blockbuster college fair, CollegeWeekLive Fall, expanded from two days to four and reached the largest audience in its history. More than 70,000 students, largely high school juniors and seniors, registered to attend CollegeWeekLive this Fall, in addition to the more than 140,000 who registered for CollegeWeekLive events in the last academic year.

New CollegeWeekLive events this year included CollegeWeekLive Test Prep, CollegeWeekLive University of California Day and CollegeWeekLive New England Day. Other Fall events included virtual open houses, dedicated days for specific schools such as Texas Tech, Arizona State University and UC Riverside, as well as an ACT event specifically designed for college admissions professionals.

CollegeWeekLive was featured in broadcast and print media across the country during the same time period, including ABC News in Boston, FOX Business News nationwide and in Chicago, NBC nightly news in New York City, Atlanta, Phoenix and Albuquerque, the New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle.

CollegeWeekLive brings colleges and prospective students together online, transcending time and distance. CollegeWeekLive offers high school students and their families the opportunity to video and text chat with admissions representatives and current students at hundreds of colleges and view live streaming video presentations featuring admissions experts. Attendees can text in questions to be answered by presenters on the spot. More than 60% of CollegeWeekLive attendees self-classify as ethnically diverse.

California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell even issued a press release exhorting students and parents to take advantage of the free online college resource, stating, “In these tough economic times, families may have a difficult time visiting all the colleges or universities across the country that their children are interested in attending. Now they can narrow their search and save a lot of time and money by using a free, online resource called CollegeWeekLive."

Upcoming CollegeWeekLive events including CollegeWeekLive Paying for College on Thursday January 14th, and CollegeWeekLive Spring March 24th and 25th. To exhibit, contact 617.938.6017 or email CollegePartners(at)CollegeWeekLive(dot)com.
