CollegeWeekLive Announces First-Ever International Virtual College Fair

Hundreds of Colleges and EducationUSA to Help Guide Non-US Students December 14th at www.collegeweeklive.com.

Boston, MA (Vocus) October 7, 2010 - CollegeWeekLive, provider of the world's largest college fairs and admissions events, today announced CollegeWeekLive INTERNATIONAL DAY, a free online college fair tailored specifically to the needs of the non-U.S. citizen interested in attending college. The event, scheduled for Tuesday December 14th from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Eastern, will feature live video presentations on topics such as researching & choosing a U.S. college, academic credentials required when applying to college in the U.S., financial aid opportunities specifically for the non-U.S. student, how to apply for a student visa and tips for adjusting to life in a foreign country.

Through a partnership with EducationUSA, the needs of students matriculating from nations such as China, Japan and India will be addressed in special one hour video presentations which include an opportunity for viewers to get instant answers to their admissions questions from EducationUSA country advisers. EducationUSA is a network of 400 higher education advising centers worldwide that help students make informed decisions about studying in the U.S. and which support accredited education institutions with their internationalization efforts. The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State supports EducationUSA.

CollegeWeekLive enables teens and their parents, regardless of geographic location, to attend a college fair from the convenience of any computer. At CollegeWeekLive INTERNATIONAL DAY, teens can chat live with admissions representatives from 250 colleges and universities, including Ivy League institutions, large public and small private universities and regional leaders in higher education.
