To be eligible to practice, compete, and receive athletically-related financial aid at an NCAA Division I or Division II campus, prospective student-athletes must be certified by the NCAA Eligibility Center as academically eligible coming out of high school. The Eligibility Center works with the nation’s high schools and secondary education programs to determine which courses “count” toward meeting NCAA requirements. Courses taught in online, blended, or otherwise nontraditional environments require an extra layer of evaluation to be approved. This session will provide attendees with an overview of the rules and processes by which these courses are evaluated.
